Well I have been at my new job for just about a week now. Back at DePaul... they can't keep me away! I'm very glad to be here because as awesome as it was hobnobbing with the Daley administration, I'm happy to be in a place where I feel comfortable and familiar and have a real purpose. Course development, while not *the* most exciting thing on the planet, is still pretty interesting and I will be "liaisoning with community partners, faculty, and staff" on a regular basis, which will get me out of the dark cave of my cube and into the glorious sunshine.
Tomorrow I'm moving! No, I'm not done packing. Hopefully that will happen tonight. Just a few more odds and ends, right? The last time I thought that was sophomore year moving out of Sanctuary and it took us about 8 hours to drive home that day and I'm pretty sure we almost broke up because I was so tired and stressed.
Otherwise things are going okay. Interested in seeing where life is going to take me this year. I hope to good places. Still not really sure and I guess that's what makes it exciting. The last day of orientation last week, the moderator said "Give away everything you have and take nothing with you." To me that means to hold on to no regrets and give all the love that's in your soul back out into the world where it belongs. At least at the end of the day you can't say you didn't try.
