Red vs. Blue: Blue Wins
I am terribly happy that Obama is the new President of the United States of America. I am also very happy that John McCain was very graceful about it, what with his condolences on the loss of Obama's grandmother and telling Republicans off for booing him. No sympathy for Palin, because she's a fucking nutter.
I wonder if the USA realizes that deep down, the entire world was probably voting for Obama. And I wonder, if they knew that, would it mean anything?
In the meantime - and this is me probably becoming more British by the day - am I the only one suddenly really, really disenchanted with our government? I mean, we don't have anyone even remotely close to Obama.
We just have Gordon Brown, who is, well... Gordon Brown, and a posh tosser. Oh, and Nick Clegg, but really, the poor guy just ought to stay home and read or something.
So, this whole 'geeks will inherit the earth' thing.... when is that, exactly?
