Lost Cause
So I call to make sure everything is OK. Just because a few calls haven't been returned doesn't mean you throw it all away, and in the end you need to know you've done all that you can do. So you do all that you can do.
And when the voice on the other end reveals that they have noticed you called but have just been too busy to respond...you know the truth. Truth is...she's not so interested in keeping in touch. Truth is she has other things in the works, things that make your affection or lack there of not so important. Truth is your not pushing the right buttons. You don't quite measure up my boy.
