Ah, Christmas is coming!
You know, even though I'm really not religious at all, I love this time of year. I always have. I think it has more to do with the spirit behind it, and the beauty of the myth surrounding it, than any of the trappings. (Although I do love an elegantly decorated home and tree!)
This year, I'm going to do personalized gifts as much as possible. I'm going to create artwork for people; I may not be able to do as many as I like, but I'm going to prioritize family first and move on from there. I may have to do one piece for everyone else.
I'm going to be doing a Star Trek "poster" based on the recent movie for my dad. My mother loves lighthouses, so I'll do something along those lines for her. And my grandmother once had a love for bird watching, so I'll do an image with a number of different bird types for her.
I have an idea for a generalized piece of art for all my friends as well, but I won't talk about it here. ;)
I think in the end gifts like these are worth far more than anything chintzy and cheap that you buy at a Wal Mart or wherever.
(I just hope I can finish in time for Christmas!)

I sorted my Pictures files last night. It seems I have a disproportionately large number of David Tennant pics. Hrmmmm.....
I blame the fan art I do. I need references!
