I require the help of my geek bretheren
I have three hard drives. The drive from my old, deceased desktop, the drive from kim's dead laptop, and a brand new 250 GB drive. I want to fetch data from the first two drives, and use the last one as an external backup/porn repository. So what I want is an external enclosure to plug the first two drives into, pull data off of them onto a PC, and then install the new drive in the enclosure semi-permanently.
If I recall correctly, desktop drives are generally 3.5", and laptop drives are generally 2.5". Which means I want something like this, as well as an adaptor like this, or else just a second enclosure for laptop drives like this.
This sound right to everyone else? Anyone have any advice on specific components I should look at/stay away from?
