2.5 years later...
Well, hello Live Journal land! I haven't been here in for-ev-er! So much has happened, but most importantly (for LJ anyway haha) I have a new fandom to be crazy over. :D All my RL stuff can be found on my blog or FaceBook but LJ has always been about fandom for me. So here we go!
Netflix recently made available a show I've been dying to watch for YEARS now - Battlestar Galactica! And boy am I in love!! (With the exception of the horrendous ending, but I won't go there just now.) I'll gush on later but I'll just point out that I have a serious girl crush on the amazing Kara "Starbuck" Thrace and just love the dynamic of her relationships, most importantly with Lee "Apollo" Adama - the brother of her dead fiance.
Anyone who followed me in the past knows I used to be an avid fanvid maker, mostly for Lord of the Rings, so I've been missing that creative outlet to tell stories. Recently, I've been getting my fill of BSG fanfics and will have a ficrec post soon, but I just wanted to share that for the first time ever I was inspired to write a mini-ficlet myself. I don't claim to be a good writer but the story just came to me on a whim last night and I just had to write it so I'll post it in the next post.
Constructive criticism is welcome, but have a little mercy on me please. ;)
