Just Another Day
The Winter Olympics start tonight. I like the Summer Olympics and all (love swimming best!), but it seems that there's more stuff to watch during the winter than the summer, so I'm looking forward to them.
I applied for AIU Online and talked to an interviewer today and she told me she was really impressed with my Admissions Essay and she seemed pretty amused I wrote it at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday. She told me that she's pretty confident that I'll get accepted and that she'll know on Monday and call me then. I applied for the Graphic Design/Visual Communicatiosn degree, and if all goes as expected I should have my BFA in Digital Design in about 2 years and 2 months from my start date. They have quarters instead of semesters so I belive the next one starts in April. I'm pretty excited!
Also, I applied for a job as a package handler/sorter at UPS, and went for an orientation on Wednesday and she told me to call back on Monday if I was sure I wanted to continue with the hiring process. It'll be a hard job and physically demanding, but I'm looking forward to it, plus I could use the extra paycheck, the benefits, and the tuition assistance they provide. Not to mention the hours are good (4pm-10pm weekdays only) so I'll still have weekends off. So... if all goes well, Monday should be a really good day for me. :)
Not much else is new. I'm in the process of looking for a laptop, but I think that's about it. How is everyone else doing?
