The Good:
--I'm a college grad. What?
--I got a job! I'm working at the Fox Chase Cancer Center as a Health Educator, which is a fancy term for research assistant. Everyone there is really nice and I'll be working with my old academic adviser's wife, which is awesome. Also, I get to speak SPANISH! ¿Cómo se dice "bone marrow transplant"?
--I'm moving to Philly, which goes without saying. I feel really good about this because I'm technically in a suburb of Philly, so I don't have to get mugged but I can still be near awesome things (*cough*KING OF PRUSSIA MALL*cough*). I'm also living in the town that Bill Cosby and Reggie Jackson are from. Whoo.
--I actually KNOW people in the area! Thank god I went to college in PA.
--I'm going to visit Dixie before I move! How I'm going to pay for the gas, I do not know. Credit cards are an amazing thing.
The Bad:
--I have to find a place to live. Boo.
--I have to do it within the next three weeks.
The Ugly:
--Website listing prices are very different from actual rent prices, it turns out. Like, over $100 a month different. My bank account/salary do not enjoy being jerked around like this.
--Deposit fees scare the crap out of me, considering I'm paying $600 in car repairs this week. Did I mention I have to pay the deposit fee before I get an actual paycheck?
--My mother will not rest until I find an apartment that is $400 a month. Upon being told they do not exist, she only insists that I call everyone who works at Fox Chase to find out if they need a roommate or live an hour and a half away in the Poconos with my aunt.
Off I go.. Yanks are only winning by one run, so they need my support.
