Meredith/Alex is probably the biggest example of this. Mark/Addison is another. In fact, for a while, Mark himself was a character example of this. When he was with Lexie I loathed him, but citron_presse could be guaranteed to work her fic magic and make me love him with her words!
Actually, I did this to ovariesofsteel once, too! She HAAAATED Alex/Lexie but I maaaade her love them with my evil, evil ways!
I can categorically state that I never shipped show!Linden/Holder the way they were written. LOTS of different things would have had to happen, if that makes sense?
Also, now that we're away from your YAY!post, and I can let loose in my own journal, did you REALLY like that ending? Those last five minutes? OHMYGOD. I had to watch through my fingers it was so cheesy and BADLY ACTED (Holder with his daughter was 108768% AWKS) and just, what even WAS IT? It was like a whole different show started?! The colour saturation was even different!! It was all sunny and glow-y and just.. It makes me shudder now just thinking about it.
Not to mention the fact that they SCREWED ME OVER by setting the whole awful montage to The freaking Jezabels!
