Now, see, THIS, I would totally watch on TV. And I absolutely LOVED reading it. I think I loved it mostly because you didn't make it "pretty". It is pretty gruesome to picture Alex licking his own blood all over the elevator's floor, it's disturbing that he actually DIED in the elevator scene that so easily hunts us when we remember that episode, and that compassion wasn't the reason for Damon to "save" Alex, and that he knew that he would regret it at some point. How weird is to think of Alex in that moment as a *buffet*!

Wonderful work, as always. Hopefully you'll use this baby of an idea again because it's just waiting to grow! Hey, you're enjoying TVD a lot more than Grey's these days, it makes total sense to me that you took the one thing you like about Grey's to see how it would do in the TVD world. I approve! ;)

OMG I WOULD TOTALLY WATCH IT TOOOOO! Why can't GA crossover with TVD instead of PrP all the time?!! I am so, so, SOOOO glad that you liked it! I was a bit nervous at first that the Alex fangirls would be mad at me for not!killing him, but then I decided that I didn't really care because the whole concept was just too juicy for words!

And I definitely wanted to steer clear of the 'pretty'. In fact, this is a toned down version of the original which was waaaay more... disturbing? I decided I needed to break people in to the concept a little more gently than my first attempt did!

Can you imagine having the Alex Karev Buffet?! YES PLEASE!

And yeah, I'm pretty sure there will be more of this! YAY FOR APPROVAL! And I'm pretty sure Alex and his ISSUES would be right at home with Damon and his!! Teh Angst and Teh Snark would (will?!!!) be GLORIOUS!

I think the GA fandom needs more death and disturbing fics. I love the angst, but we could do with more twisted stuff once in a while. Something to counteract the high school love mentality so many writers love to work with (over and over again!).

Actually, I would probably have liked it even more if it had been more disturbing. That episode and that scene was made for something uneasy. And one of the things I missed while I was watching TVD was the twisted factor. Damon was made to be completely perturbed and fucked up (yeah, while he kind of is, I think not enough :P).

Hopefully when you work on this story again you'll use the more disturbing imagery you didn't use this time around. I mean, there's nothing more fucked up than being dead-but-not! Specially if you're Alex Karev!
