Seeing that there was a distinct lack of him this episode, I'm going to rant.

If only I could understand what he's saying to Lexie in that kitchen, English can be so difficult lol But still, on Lexie's retaliation, as for now, I agree. And I wonder, too, if that was the first time this issue came up. If so, wow. Bad. But then, wondering what happened IN BETWEEN the scenes they showed us was what I've been doing all episode long. So I'll probably be back later with some theory on why she acted so incredibly cruel. Because I don't like the idea that this is the changed Lexie, can you tell?
And Mark's comment: it's so obviously not an accurate description of Alex that it's really just saying something about Mark - and maybe he's pissed at Alex only for reasons of jealousy, but THEN MAYBE he also expected better from him, after all the common ground they may or may not have found recently. And can you tell I was swooning over that look for help from Alex to Mark and back again? I just love them so freaking much! :-)

I've only seen the episode once, and Alex was SUPER hard to understand in the kitchen, but I'm pretty sure he's trying, in his round about kind of way, to tell Lexie that she looks gorgeous and, despite everything that she's been through, he thinks she totally bad ass.
(I also wonder if he's maybe a little jealous of her... she's had her 'moment', she got help, now she's moving on, whereas he's still terrifyingly stuck at the first part).
This scene reminds me of when Alex was trying to ask Izzie to be his girlfriend... and the way he went about it by asking if he was allowed to fuck "Michelle from paeds.". He's so inept when it comes to revealing anything about himself!
And Lexie appears to totally have misread it. And she's jumped in with the one comment that could absolutely destroy him. And while her lack of understand would indicate that she doesn't know him that well, I think she definitely knows him well enough to know how much her remark will hurt him.
I LOVE your desperate clinging to M/A! You are too awesome! I agree with you that Mark's comment says more about Mark than Alex...
I agree that it's SO hard trying to piece together all the missing parts. SO MUCH IS MISSING. In all the storylines. But, with regard to Alex...
- his recovery
- why the bullet is still there
- the immediate aftermath with Lexie and/or Mark
- why they broke up
- how they broke up
- when they broke up
- were they broken up before or after Lexie's meltdown
The timeline for this season is already confusing the HELL outta me! The trauma counsellor makes it seem like Lexie's meltdown only happened in the preceding week, he says something like "you've had an interesting week" or something that I took to mean very similar... so I'd take that to mean they were already on the outs at the very least as far as their 'relationship' goes...
THERE IS JUST SO MUCH MISSING!
