HELLO, 2015! HELLO, FLIST!
[+] I need to tell you allllll about Falls Festival because it basically blew my mind. But I think it's going to need a post all on its own. So that will be for later.

The one thing you probably do need to know now though is that I kinda met a boy there (well, we all did -- the story is long and very hilarious). ANYWAY, we have been chatting via messages most of this afternoon and it's now 21:33 and we've already had our first major disagreement! OH, LOL. It's about Kanye West. Which makes me irrationally angry because I f***ing can not STAND that a-hole, and to think he might be the un-doing of something before it even begins is ridiculous. BUT... Festival Dude just told me, during a discussion about sexism and humility and respect, that the only thing he doesn't like about Kanye is that "he's married to a total idiot". So, basically, the only thing unlikeable about Kanye is his wife. Which is a lovely sentiment to believe. And not a world view I think I can even BEGIN to reconcile. Kanye or no Kanye! So yeah, that's going no-where. catteo, your groundwork was likely for naught, but I appreciate the effort!!
This is why boys are a bad idea!
[+] I have so many thoughts about The Affair. SO MANY THOUGHTS. I word vomited all over callmeonetrack's journal last night when I was supposed to be doing other things because I found the whole season endlessly fascinating. If anyone wants to talk further, I could probably be convinced to pull said word vomit into something resembling a coherent post. Mostly, my thoughts are on perspective, point of view, interests, empathy, writer's intent, and unreliable narration. If any of those things interest you with regard to this show, let me know!
[+] So, last year I wrote and posted FOUR fanfics. It's the 4th of January, and I've already posted THREE this year. 2015 is looking up, and it's all thanks to the lovely ladies participating in my Comment Ficathon of Redemption. Ten fics have been written so far, across several different fandoms (The Vampire Diaries, Grey's Anatomy, Smash, Pitch Perfect, Rookie Blue, and The Affair), and there are heaps of prompts across many other fandoms (Gotham, Agents of SHIELD, Top of the Lake, Glue, and The Flash, for example). COME PLAY WITH US!
