[things] that might be fun | "all the stars explode tonight..."

I'm not doing the December Meme because I'm (supposed to be) writing my yuletide fic, but I still want to do some fun things on a regular basis and contribute to the YAY!VIBE that is currently decking the LJ halls... and I've seen this kind of thing done on challenge comms in the past and so I thought I'd reprise it here.

HAVE YOU EVER...?Post a scenario ( Read more... )

fic: yuletide, flist: why so awesome, have: you ever?

Have you ever... met a well-known celebrity?

I once served the Queen dinner. That counts, right?

Did you spill soup in her lap? Or ask her to disown Australia?

Pretty sure you still go to the Tower for spilling soup on her. Also, she doesn't actually eat or drink anything.

I THINK SHE MOSTLY DID THAT ALREADY. She only keeps you cause she likes the weather.

I have met a few. Although most notably I am related to Bruce Dickinson or Iron Maiden fame. Distantly. His grandad and my grandad were brothers.

I've also bumped into Shania Twain as she was leaving her hotel room in London.

I met Johnny Wilkinson (English rugby player) and pinched his bum!

There are probably more people but it's unlikely you would have heard of them.

I found out because my ex's friend had shrieked it in my ear. To explain the background, Prince William was the year below me at university. At the time of this incident, I'd not long since split up with my ex having found out he had another girlfriend via a rude text from one of her friends, and he'd invited her to stay with him at our university pretty much straight away which I wasn't happy about, and the friend was bitching in my ear about how I should try and be nice to the girlfriend because my ex would appreciate it, and I was trying to block her out. I was concentrating so hard on blocking her out that I didn't realise Prince William had just walked past.
