I'll accept your fierce hugging and give you sloppy forehead kisses and a sly ass pat in return.

For reasons...

The sorrow is so incredibly potent here. *hugs*

Beautifully written, so many lines sculpted to poignant perfection.

"Wow. What a bummer." - Anton Chekhov.

Now that I lightened my mood with that joke to be able to type straight, this is...possibly one of the saddest things I've read on LJI, with the exception of my last post during Season 8. It has a very dream-like, poetic nature (something I'm also prone to/fond of, it seems) side to it that helps explore why grief and our funeral ceremony are depressing. A good read.

Thank you so much for the lovely comment.

It has a very dream-like, poetic nature (something I'm also prone to/fond of, it seems) I am also very, very fond of pieces of writing that have these qualities, and sometimes I wonder if I perhaps lean too much in that direction and risk losing people, but, I don't know. I can't help myself, it seems!! Anyway, I am so glad you enjoyed this and that it worked for you. It gives me some confidence to keep it up. Hopefully Garry is kind to me with the next prompt :)

Trust me, as long as you don't end up like my last entry in Season 8, you'll be alright. It's a real gas. Remember that you can never really redefine "cohesion."

MuwahAAHAHahahaahAHAHAhahahaahAhAHAHAHahahah

Erm, yeah. I think you're okay so far. It has a narrative still.
