THIS IS THE ACTUAL MOST INCREDIBLE THING EVER! It's so real and so beautiful at the same time and so . . . just know that I cried several times.

This is the third time I've read it so far, by the way. The first two, I was wordless. This is what I've got now. I actually have more to say, though, so I'll be back much, much later.

Heee, I'm so glad you liked it!!

It finally freaking happened! Haha! I was so stuck at the end of the first 700 words that I was beginning to doubt it ever would.

I'll be back much, much later.

When I wrote these words, I was on my way out and I actually meant something like 6 am the next morning, not now. Firstly, real life was stupidly busy. Secondly, I've now read this so many times (and each one has been awesome - I've taken to reading it really slowly to savor it!), and I find it so hard to write a comment for because, honestly, it occurs for me as half-being directly inside Kelly's head, and half-watching his very, very real life occur. It's that good, and it kind of leaves me wordless. Also, I keep getting tears in my eyes, lumps in in my throat, heart lurches for him, and that's not much good for eloquence either ( ... )

Okay, so, firstly, I LOVE THAT PROMPT! But I just need to clarify a couple of things so I know that we're talking about the same things! Haha! Stag night? We don't use that term, but I'm guessing it's the same as a buck's night here. Which is basically the guy version of a hen's night* that the bride has before the wedding ( ... )

"Stag night" would actually be British for, what it only now occurs to me, is called a Bacherlor Party (I think) in the US. And yes, the male equivalent of a Hen's Night. I have no RL experience (personal, obviously enough, or vicarious to go on), and I'd made the assumption, based on jokes about the best man making sure the groom wasn't hungover at the wedding, that they happened immediately before. However . . .yes, wedding night would work perfectly. (especially for the +/ aspect)

I'd written the first 700 words of this WEEEEEKS ago, so, clearly, that's how 'in-tune' I am with him!
That is pretty damn good!

Did you know: In Germany, these nights are called Junggesellenabschied. !!!!!!!!!!!!????!!????!!!

I think, traditionally, the buck's night used to be the night before the wedding but, here in Australia anyway, that hasn't been the case for years and years and years. I think, mostly, because of the drama that can come out of them that means the groom [and/or the bride!!] are not really up to scratch on their wedding day! I actually think it's super unusual to have them the night before the wedding anymore and I haven't ever been to a Hen's night like that, and usually the hen's and the buck's are on the same night so... extrapolating from that...

Anyway, that was mostly pointless because you already said you'd be down with the wedding night thing...

Junggesellenabschied.
Okaaay . . .

I have only been to two proper hen's nights and, yes, they were both weeks before the wedding. My male reference point over here has only ever been to "drinks or dinner," but these definitely not immediately before the wedding. I think my brain was addled by Kelly's stated liking for strip clubs . . . which goes along with the whole cliche!

I love the expression on Lexie's face in your icon. It's the same one I'm wearing at the thought of having to pronounce Junggesellenabschied!

Also, you should know that writing this gave me inexplicably slashy vibes that I've really only got from Mark* and Alex before...!! But as this was a fandomaid fic, I thought it best to save that kind of thing for, well, probably just you, to be honest!!

*RIP
