So, Random (ie: me) is here.

I just watched the movie, still don't know how I feel about it, but I remembered that you liked (loved?) this movie and found this fic....which I gotta say I enjoyed a bit more than the movie.

Okay, now I know how I feel about the movie. The first half felt so promising but then that ending was just kinda...flat? And Taylor Kitsch needs to just play emotionally stunted army men forever. He does it so well.

Was the book better?

I really enjoyed the movie so you may or may not like the book (in other words, I might not be your best guide). Personally? I freaking LOVED the book. And it has a prequel called 'The Kings of Cool' which I loved even more.

I really, really liked both the book and the movie A LOT. Also, how did the ending of the version of the movie you saw go? leobrat told me how the ending she saw confused her because there were four different versions told, but in the movie that I saw, there were only two. Firstly the fake out where they all died, then the real version of events where they ended up in Indonesia. I didn't even know there were different versions until leobrat complained about how confused she was when she saw it.
