MY EMOTIONS! And I don't usually have a lot of emotions about Meredith, so, nice job.

(The Colorblind line in the cut-text jumping to the bit about the balloons is pure genius, btw.)

I love this bit a HUGE amount: Music, party music, seeps through the warped fence palings. Minute gaps that fill with laughter and life and a thousand other things she can barely bring herself to recognise. She wants them out of her yard. The noises. The cheer.

YOU KNOW I am a sucker for Meredith and Izzie reaching out for each other. I do know this!!!

It's because it's exactly what they WOULD do. I refuse to believe Izzie didn't come back during that time. REFUSE POINT BLANK. In my canon it's one of the 15 gazillion other things that happened during that STUPID TIME JUMP!

I don't even watch this show, and I had chills.
