Been CRAZY lately!
Henna is crazy-good stuff! :-)
I very recently had the good fortune to meet Leigh Brown. She was part of The Mehndi Project back in NYC, and worked with Loretta Roome, who put together Mehndi : The Timeless Art of Henna Painting. If you have it, you can find Leigh in the index crediting photos. It's been no end of delight being able to talk henna in "real life!" She actually only lives about 10 miles from me!
We hit it right off, Mehndi'd each other's right hands, and I showed her the Faerie Labyrinth as our henna was drying. We came upon a Luna Moth (very special to me) who was finishing drying out from hatching ...in the Henna Garden itself!!
We've decided to work together. It's been a lot of fun catching her up to speed on the latest in henna info. We came up with the name "Luna Henna" (website coming soon: www.lunahenna.com) to work together under.
The biggest news...?
...We have signed up for a booth at FaerieCon under Luna Henna in October!!
Genevieve Levin of ReMarkable Blackbird is going to come down from Maine to join us in Philly!
One of the organizers even bumped our space up to a double (on a corner!) for a very tiny upgrade! Yay!
Yesterday we had NO END of silly crazy fantastic booth ideas for FaerieCon! (And henna'd each other's right hands again - oh, the LUXURY!)
...We all just have to make sure we wear small enough wings as not to bonk into each other too much...!
