Update

Wow...so a lot has happened since I updated last. I kind of love the Soup Kitchen so far. It's so nice to not be living in the dorms and to have my car here. You Terre Haute and Purdue kids are welcome to come visit anytime!
I ended up taking the job at Blondie's here. My first day was yesterday (Wednesday). And I kind of hated it. As soon as I got there the manager pulled me aside to let me know that she's "by the book" and follows all of the ridiculous corporate rules we have. Boo. So I think I'll be looking for a new job in a little while.
Hey, guys, I'm 21 now! That's pretty cool. We ended up having a party here to celebrate. It was great because a lot of my IU friends who I didn't get to see at all over the summer showed up. And I drank a lot of course, but I survived that night and the day after, so good for me.
Classes aren't too bad. I don't think I'm going to like my stats class. It's taught by Dr. Sherman Leon Guth (pronounced gooth). Seriously, that's his name. He looks like a "Sherman" too. And he's just really rude to everyone and made clear that he's not going to go out of his way to help us understand anything.
My acoustics professor looks exactly like a clean-shaven Billy Bob Thornton. It's kind of eerie. His actual name's even Bill. And he always wears fun ties. Fun-Tie Bill has already done a Tigger tie and a palm tree tie. Can't wait to see what's next.
My favorite class has to be acting. It's taught by a grad student (John), who's probably about my height and has long, feathered, Farrah Fawcett hair. We're working on building our self-esteem now. It's like we're in group therapy. We had to stare at our selves in a mirror for an uncomfortable amount of time today. And then we had to stare into one of our classmate's eyes and then give them a hug. Afterwards we sat in a circle and shared stories of pivotal events in our lives. It got really emotional. Some of the kids in the class started crying (I got misty eyed). But before all of that we had to do exercises to "bring out our inner child", which meant jumping up and down and swinging our arms and crazy stuff. So, needless to say, I like classes where I get to act stupid like that, so I should continue to like this class.
I changed my icon in anticipation of the Lost season 2 DVDs (Lost love, anyone?).
And that's about it for now. I'll try to update for frequently to give you kids something to read.
