Speaking freely and openly on US Social Media is not allowed. So much for free speech. When you HATE the Fascist Theocrats taking over the country with every fiber of your being, refraining from a slip or two on FaceBook gets challenging.
The term inverted totalitarianism was used by Sheldon Wolin to describe modern Capitalist society. The term inverted covers every trait one might want to consider. This society is governed by its Billionaire ruling elite. The constitution of the US starts with "We the People", but this was never understood as ALL the people. In the American Revolution the Colonists simply traded one set of Oligarchs for the local set. WEALTH is the common factor here.
One of the most important descriptions of Democratic Government is that it is a government that takes its power from the consent of the governed. Those not in the Billionaire Class who thinks they are included in this group are deluded. It ALWAYS meant the Planter Aristocrats and Industrialists. In the present all illusions of Democratic accountability are being dispelled.
