(no subject)
Wednesday night Lianne and I played in the U of A summer concert band for a full house at the winspear. It was awesome to look out and see thousands of ppl!!! So we played for about half an hour; we opened for a Dutch Men's choir. So Lianne and I are first off stage, and we walk backstage to the room where all our stuff is, and go in, and there is the choir, all 150 of them! And they all start clapping and some are whistling and we are like okkkayyy. Then we discover that we are the only ones in the room from the band!! Everyone else is waiting outside in the hall!! So we decided we better get Liannes guess sweater and leave cause it was pretty strange having 150 pairs of old, and i mean OLD eyes checking us out. But we cant find the sweater anywhere because all of the chairs are moved. So we are looking around for it but cant find it. So all the guys start lookign around for it too, except they dont know what we are looking for! So they come up to us with purses, instrment cases, jackets, etc. So they dont speak alot of English but we were like, "no, its a black sweater". So the search begins again, and one guy offers her his black coat, and we,re like nooooo. Then one guy goes "are you looking for something, like me perhaps?" and im like " no thats okay thanks". LOl so someone finally finds it and we go to leave and we get a chorus of 150 goodbyes and whistles. I think it was definitely the strangest situation I have ever been in. But we totally enjoyed it, we just laughed and smiled. So at intermission Lianne and I were standing in the hall and when they came off stage we said hi to all of them. And a few of them asked us if we wanted to go back to Holland with them...... But we stayed and listened to them sig and it was really cool. lol the audience was kinda freaky tho. Its like the whole Dutch population was there and they were singing along and waving flags and some were even wearing wooden shoes!! So yeah it was a very entertainging night.
Other than that I havent been up to too much. Just wondering what is up with my Animika... Im sorry i couldnt come last night! Call me and let me know what happened!!!! *huggles and chocolate ice cream and depending on how bad it was, maybe some pirate rum*
