I was looking at this book at my aunt's house called America 24/7. It basically has pictures of everyday life of people all over the country, and it's actually pretty interesting.

Well, one of the pictures was of this hotel in Hollywood called the Standard Hotel.

They have these little tiny rooms with windows that people can look into. And there are people in the tiny rooms who are hired to do yoga, sleep, work on computers, or whatever from 7 pm to 2 am. And they have to pretend not to see the people looking at them.

So it's like people come and watch these "box girls" or "box guys", as they're called, just going about their everyday life, sort of. And the little rooms are decorated. The yoga girl's little room was decorated like a little piece of a bedroom, with posters on the wall, and a few soda cans on the floor.

It said the pay isn't great, but the exposure is hard to beat, "and in Hollywood, that's important."

So I've decided eventually I am going to have that job.
I'm going to sleep, in a window, for money.
Because I'm very good at sleeping.
And it just sounds like a lot of fun. =]

::edit:: (yes, I know what I said. the cool kids don't edit.)

I just read this article on it. And it said that the room wasn't decorated, and that the uniform was white underwear and a tanktop. That's just a bit frightening. But in the picture in the book, the room WAS decorated and she had on pants and a shirt. Eh, it's probably not going to happen anyway, so I guess I don't care.
