Cafe Fina, Tuesday night

Cafe Fina was technically closed. Alfred was out of town, Wadsworth had taken the wad of cash from Wayne Enterprises to take a vacation of his own, and the workmen were gone, but there was still a light on in the back of the restaurant. After *handwavily* dropping Pip back off at the dorms (and ignoring the fact that he was smirking at her the whole time), Nadia headed over to the restaurant.

She slipped through the door, trying to act like she didn't feel like she was breaking a bunch of rules doing it. "Hello?"

"Back here," Walter called from the kitchen. "Can you lock the door first, please?"

"Of course!" Nadia took a moment to lock up before heading back towards the lit area of the store. She couldn't help pausing a few moments over all the powertools as she pulled off her raincoat, trying not to drip pudding on anything. "Do I actually get to see where the magic happens?"

"I'm not sure how magical it is," Walter said, poking his head out of the kitchen door, "but you are welcome to come back here and have a look around. I'm just finishing up."

Nadia's lips parted almost immediately and she reached up a hand to run it through Walter's hair.

Nadia's skin was soft under his fingers. It was something he noticed every time, as he gently stroked her cheek and jaw. A perfect counterpoint to the soft feel of her tongue against his.

Nadia clenched her fingers against Walter's scalp, then let them trail down the back of his neck. She pulled back slightly from the kiss.

"You know, you don't have to wear the tie all the time," she said softly as she pushed her fingers under his collar.

"You're right," Walter said equally softly and pulled it off, letting it slide carelessly to the floor. "I probably don't have to keep on the waistcoat, either."
