So yesterday rocked my socks hardcore. New York was awesome. Like, beyond awesome. I woke up at like 5, b/c i could not contain myself. Then I went and got Alaina, and we hit up dunkies, where the drive up window told us the coolata machine wasn't working, but when we went inside it was fine...weird...then we got on the bus for our 4 hour ride, which really wasn't that bad, I listened to my "yay new york" cd and played sam trotts gameboy, it was oldschool. good times. Then when we got to new york we drove by fordham and i freaked out and called mike and was like hey i drove by your school, come hang out with us, so he met up with us much later. First we went to the Met, which we thought would be the worst part of the day, cause i mean, art museum, but it was awesome. It sucked cause we could only spend 2 hours there. But then we moved on, and walked through central park, and we saw Moby! Fish talked to him, it was cool. Then we went to the Empire State Building, which was cool cause new york is huge, but i dont know if it was worth 11 bucks, an hour wait, and missing the tour of nbc studios. but whatevs. Then we went to Rockafeller center, which was cool, then Times Square, which was out of control, and we ate at the Olive Garden, which was funny because Fish went into teenage mode and wanted all the dirt, and of course we gave it to him. Good times. Then finally, RENT. It was such an amazing show. And of course, me being a big dork, I got so excited about the set and insane amount of lights and rigging, but no one really understood why I was so excited so I had to appreciate it alone. But it was incredible. And I like fell in love with the lead. Big geek with a scarf, but I totally wanted him. And before the show, Alaina had pointed him out in the playbill and I was like what are you talking about hes weirdlooking but then he started singing and i was like woah lets make out. What is with me and wanting geeks? Can't understand it. But it was awesome. The only even semi-bad part of the show was the one of the leads was Scary Spice from the Spice Girls, which is absolutely ridiculous, and she sounded wicked hoarse and manly and i was like Scary, i will tell you what i want, what i really really want, and that is for you to leave and never do broadway again, cause you killed it. Enough said. Then we drove home, and me and Alaina were loud an obnoxious and sang about bus love. Then we showed up at Lindseys at 4 in the morning cause it was her birthday and we were totally not welcome. But we stayed anyway and got some sunkist and doritos and watched reruns of the Jersey. good times. Then I finally slept for like three hours until every single member of lindseys family had to come in and check if she had softball about 6 times at 8 in the morning, which was incredibly unnecessary. Then I finally went home and showered away the smell of new york street bum which was gross. But now I'm clean and happy and somewhat refreshed even though I'm tired a little still. And now I must go to bridgewater and play with children. Except more wrangling and yelling than playing. Kids are insane on saturdays. Its like they get their freedom and just freak out. And I"m the one who has to calm them down. Fun times.
