Yesterday marked the 1 year anniversary of my owning a house! A year that was a blur of frenzied fun and work. The excitement of buying my first house coupled with the fact that it has two walk-in closets was one of the highlights of the year! It's amazing that all the things I owned once fit into a 1 bedroom apartment, then a 2 bedroom duplex, and now a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom and 2 car garage house! I even purged before moving!
I've worked hard at my career with 100% of my students meeting standard in mathematics and the work I've done leading to 100% of the COEs meeting standard in our district. I've been to numerous trainings and now present my own for the district and in December for the state.
I guess what makes me think about this is that most of my friends and colleagues are going to their 10 and 20 year reunions and mine is 2 years away. They were talking about how old everyone has gotten and how they still feel young and how it is related to the work we do. It got me thinking about how young I feel and yet how old I am.
Enough reflection, but I really should update this more often.
