Day 13:
Today was a travel day. After getting up around 0700 we headed to the airport to board our flight to Prague. After standing in a ridiculously long line we boarded around 1100, got in around 1400, and finally checked into our hostel around 1600. At that point I wanted to get a feel for prague, but a combination of a tired brother and rain kept us in the hostel for the night.
Day 14:
Today was our Prague day. I kind of agree with Adam in that one day was enough for all the main sites. On the other hand I did think it was a neat city with some spectacular views and architecture. The view from the castle was just amazing and seeing the old square, clock tour, and the Charles bridge was definately worth it. After a long day of sightseeing we went back to our hostel and got into a good conversation with 2 brits, an australian, and a canadian. Conversation degenerated into a pub crawl (the Brits idea of course) where we saw some of the nightlife of Prague. It wasn't a spectacular night, but it was good talking to English speakers with different cultures.
Day 15:
Today was another travel day. Due to the train schedule we took a 1400 train which got us into Krakow at 2100. This of course completly shot any sightseeing plans but just seeing the Czech countryside and old communist era buildings was a good consolation prize. We made it into Krakow alright and checked into a really nice hostel where I am typing this. Tomorrow we plan on going to Auswitz. I don't know how much I will be tying about that, but it is just something I have to see with my own eyes.
