The show Friday night was fun. Unfortunately after not playing for two months, I got immensely tired after the first few songs, and broke a string in the first chord of the first song. But it went well, and the diner nearby had delicious gyros. Afterward we headed back to the Sater home for refreshments, discussion, and an Adam Sandler DVD. Awoke early the next morning for the drive to Ohio for Play Fast Or Die Fest. Along for the ride were Jason of Active Sac and our friend from Shrewsberry by way of York. It was a cramped uncomfortable ride, and we got there right before we were supposed to play tired and sore, but still did a good set, better than the night before anyway. None of the other bands really grabbed my attention too much, aside from seeing the second half of the Breaks' set right upon arriving. That band rips in all ways imagineable and I'm really stoked to tour with them in July. From here we hit a hotel where I kept everyone awake with my drunken rambling. The next morning we headed back for day two of the fest, which involved lots of drinking in the van, looking at various girls, me creating a foolish cartoon-like image of myself for people I don't know very well, The Rites, and 9 Shocks Terror. The Rites were really good, though lineup changes kind of hinder tham a bit. 9 Shocks played a great, intense set, though someone threw a bottle of piss around, which got all over me. Awesome. From here it was a cramped ride home, involving me with the worst headache in modern history. Finally got home at 5:30 am, passed out on my bed. I'm now watching a Thin Lizzy live video, which is tempting me to go purchase a Lizzy album or two today. I can't promise that I won't do that.
