Cas and his powers, as well as potential loss thereof and how that would change his perceptions, is an endlessly fascinating topic. Exploring this in a sexual, specifically BDSM context, where he gives them up willingly and temporarily... it seems so logical, yet this is the first story I've read with this premise. And the only one I'll ever need to, because it's absolutely perfect! <3
I love how he is so enthusiastic at first, but then realises his vulnerability and fails to deal with it and how unexpected it is for him that he feels different without a safety net. And even more I love his dynamics with Dean, and how he trusts him enough to go on despite the fear and even to make it good... It's beautiful.
Your writing in general is brilliant! There's such an intense immediacy to it. And the fact that you manage to write two such fundamentally damaged characters in a BDSM relationship -- and a functional one at that -- while staying completely true to their canon characterisation and dynamics is nothing short of amazing.
