Naked...

I'm naked.

I just realized that I do not have my cell phone on me.

I forget the thing about once every year, and today is that day.

It was on the charger, and I got distracted this morning, grabbing the extra items, my vest, hat and, no phone.

So, don't bother calling me.  The phone is on but nobody is home.

So naked...... /burrrr

I am absent-minded enough that if a thing isn't where I'm used to grabbing it, it escapes my memory entirely until I need it. I have done that with pocket items before, leading me to pat myself before leaving the house, muttering "Wallet, keys, phone..."

If I can't find them, they are usually in the pants I wore the night before, leading the phrase "It's time once again, to play 'Where are my pants?'"

Oh, thank god.

I'm not the only insane person muttering to himself while walking out the front door in the morning, "Wallet, keys, comb, phone, water, backpack... lunch in the backpack, OK lets go."

Only today, I almost forgot the water too... Now that is worse than forgetting the cell. The water in the building is... bad. Very very bad. Sad thing is I realized I was missing the water but not the phone.

I've often thought of posting a checklist by the door, too. There is a silly checklist some company puts out. It includes "Head" as one of the items not to forget. However, in my case, I've sometimes wondered how useful it might be.

I've forgotten my wallet until I'm standing in line for the bus!
