Woot!
I went out last night and had the best time (apart from a few friendship duties, but I don't consider them a bad thing). Me and the girls from upstairs went out to the Vic around 9.30 and after much alcohol and a few dares (thanks to Ruth) we met up with these really cool guys. Not only that but they were LOCAL guys. The creepy-non-uni-ones then sat with us for a while in the Vic and chatted, I have no idea what they were called but all their names seemed to begin with a D except for Chris. Michal had a few troubles with her absent b/f Simon cause he can be a bit of an arse when he wants to be and that made her upset and almost not want to go to Leeds, which in turn made us all upset cause Michal is far too nice to be made to feel like that. At round 1 when the bar closed we headed down to a lock in that the local boys knew about which was fun cause the guy who owned the bar was closing down so all the alcohol was free! I suppose that's not good for him though. The brandy straight from the dispenser into our mouths was a highlight though that could be the reason for my current hangover. Ruth's hand plastered on Dan's(?) crotch was also a highlight. Gotta love that Ruth. Towards the end of the night Kri got quite upset about relationship issues and we ended up on the pavement in this bike alley for about an hour and a half! Scotland is cold, especially at 4 in the morning. Then we followed the others (who we had left when we sat with the bikes) to the Youth Hostel in St Andrews (I know, who knew?) 'cause Chris was the manager of the place and he invited us all there. Me and Kri then got chatting with this guy who was staying in the hostel as part of his tour round Ireland and Scotland, but get this, he was originally from Israel and had just finished his 4 years of military service where he was stationed on the West Bank. How crazy is that?! Anyway, he seemed very nice as did all the others, and the locals have invited us out to see them perform (they are in a band) when they get playing again. Should be a really good night when the time comes around. So at round 5am when we decided to leave Ruth called a taxi and it said it would be there in half an hour but when we went down it wasn't there and the taxi companies phone line wasn't working, so me Ruth and Kri decided to walk home which meant we got home round 6 in the morning. 'Twas fukin freezing and a bloody good night.
