Wow, it's been quite a week. The book launch was a whirlwind of emotion and amazingness. And guess what? The bookseller had to borrow some of my books because she sold out of hers. Crazy!
I had a ton of help from family who flew in just for the party. And so many friends showed up. There were even people I'd never met, like the village president (who incidentally is one funny dude).
I was so feeling the love!
Here are some pics:
Look at all the pretty books.
People actually bought some!
Bitchen cupcake cake my mom bought.
Look! People were really there. I still can't believe it.
I gave away a free "engagement" ring or pencil with every book.
Village President, Brian LeClercq and moi. All the local celebs were there. Okay, he's really the only local celeb. But he was there!
My writer peeps! I love these guys. I might have to steal one of those baby girls though, because they are so adorable.
The insane and totally dope
trinasotira bestowed upon me the official "Book Launch Edward" who will make the rounds of every one of our friends as they publish. It's going to be a bigger tradition than Santa, yo.
And the next day, I dragged my tired ass to my very first bookstore signing, which luckily also included
kspringer aka Kristina Springer (THE ESPRESSOLOGIST) and
Kimberly Pauley (SUCKS TO BE ME) who made up for my zombie-like presence. The charming and lovely Kristen (with an E) aka
Bookworming in the 21st Century kept us company while we lured people toward us with the promise of delicious chocolates and cookies.
I felt like a real live author. What a weekend!
