Alone, wrapped in blankets while the sky blizzards around my house. Snow muffles all sound, except for the noise of the dog licking her crotch. I moved from Michigan to the "desert" state but I still chose the cold.
And love. I try to choose love every day. I've been thinking about cynical/sarcastic attitudes lately only to come to the same conclusion - pessimism sucks. There is more to take in than bitterness.
In order to believe in myself, I don’t have to prove that I’m better than others because there is no “better” or “worse.” It isn’t my responsibility to judge other people. No one is stupid and life teaches everyone - however long that may take. By being generous, you can show others how much they are capable of achieving. Besides, encouraging others is a way of encouraging yourself.
I had a choice and I chose rejoice.
