Wow, thank you so much for posting this, it's fascinating, and so informative. Zombie stories! That never would have occurred to me, lol, but I can see it now.

To me it is kind of freeing, because I feel like sometimes my stories are just romance, and I should be trying to incorporate more plot stuff, like time travel or steam punk. This makes me feel better that I can just relax more and include plot if it comes to me. Not that I'm aiming to get published any time soon--more like in 30 yrs as a retirement plan :D but I am endlessly fascinated by developments in the fast-changing world of publishing these days--both from a practical pov and also socio-culturally.

Like, in RL, I have writery friends and they are SO nose in the air about epublishing, like it's beneath them, but I think they are behind the times. Epublishing has changed the world. There is some fantastic stuff out there!

No problem. I thought it was an interesting read and wanted to share. I'm a huge reader, so I've noticed a lot of these trends lately. If I read one more 'girl/boys meets supernatural love interest and it turns out girl/boy holds the key to something major" I might scream ( ... )

Ugh--I can totally see how classics would get rejected today :( that makes me sad.

It makes me really sad - especially when you consider that the group has done it several times, and always with the same kind of results.
