Near miss!
A rare inner city tornado struck the Electric Fetus and Minneapolis Convention Center this afternoon.
The SSCA Gallery (which is located 1 1/2 blocks north of the Fetus) was spared, as the funnel cloud lifted up, and skipped over a couple of blocks, laying waste to some of the houses on Portland Avenue.
I was relieved to see that there was no major damage -especially since I've got 14 year's worth of my own artwork currently hanging in the gallery!
(The Evangelical Lutheran Church of America was not so lucky, as their wrathful god struck the Lutherans' national convention, where the faithful had gathered to debate the future of gays and lesbians in the clergy.)
