anon writer is unhappy

You know how nature abhors a vacuum?  Well, it seems kink memes abhor a lack of drama.
I like kink memes.  They're wonderful places for writers - places where you're encouraged to express yourself without fear.  They're places where writers can go to find inspiration, to hone one's abilities, to find others who share the same interests, to read other writers' fills, and to simply waste time when one should be doing homework.  (Or is that just me?)
But someone's got to ruin the fun eventually, I guess.  One of the mods over at 1stclass_kink has decided to throw a hissy fit.  The other mod warned that the first mod deleting the comm out of spite was entirely possible.  Suddenly, it seems like the community hangs on a thread and the person holding the scissors seems petty and easily angered.
Now here's the fun part: I've been working on a (pretty damn long) fill over there since June.  It's been more of a self-indulgent fling with a prompt than a serious attempt at writing, and it's helped me on the days when I was having thesis drama or the stress of school was getting to me.  I'd click out of my thesis proposal document and bring up my fic and work on that instead.  I was never actually intending to de-anon (see that earlier comment about it being rather self-indulgent) but since 1stclass-kink's fragility has been made obviously clear, I can't just sit by.  If the comm was deleted, anyone reading my fic would be shit out of luck.  So I've de-anoned and made it clear that if anything happens to the comm, I'll repost and continue to update my fic here.
But no writer should be forced to choose between their anonymity and the existence of their fic.  That's why kink memes exist.  Taking that away on a whim is incredibly selfish.
Let's just that I'm not happy.
