damn, they don't make 'em like this anymore...
Mailed out the last of my college stuff boxes this afternoon. Yaaaaaaaaaay for no more boxes. Now it's just suitcases. This time tomorrow, I'll be winging my way back to Chi-town and all the awesome UChi people. It's a little hard to believe the summer moved that fast.
Update on my poll from last post: have decided to go with the first one, even though the second one got more votes. I love how she looks in the second one, but I like the whole package better in the first. There's more of a sense of things coming towards her, while in the other, it feels like things are behind her. And anybody who knows how I play MA knows there is always shit coming at her.
Update on me + Torchwood: now that I've seen two non-Gwen-centric episodes, I feel much better about both the show in general and Gwen as a character. I think it was just how they were beating us over the head with her character for the first two eps that made what might have otherwise been just a minor irritation become full on burning, shake-her-like-a-baby rage. I finished "Cyberwoman" last night and all I can say is OMGIANTO. I had a feeling I was going to love him and I DO. He just needs a hug. And tea. And sex with Jack. Not necessarily in that order.
On that note, those of you on my flist who read Jack/Ianto? Give up the goods, ladies. I need y'all to share your fanfic recs with me, pronto. I haven't wanted to read a pairing this badly in a long damn time.
Also, because I haven't shamelessly self-pimped in a while? Check this out: Mary Anne and Dean Winchester. Shameless flirting. Talk of jello wrestling. Pirate outfits. And we're not even done with it yet.
