Snow & other current events :)

Yes, on March 27th ( the day I first gave birth 25 years ago... my son is home to celebrate his birthday) we are under 6 inches of white... and it's still coming down. After our unusually warm & dry winter, it's a pleasure to have this... and just as we finished yesterday re-mulching all the garden beds that had tons of the spring-planted bulbs poking up & some blooming... Just in time for a good soak. Nice to know this will replenish all the cisterns in time for spring.

The trip to the Pac NW was such a fabulous time with my daughter for her birthday! The most time we've had together in many years and without her having to run off to classes or work (she got time off!) for adventures.  I heard her say on a phone call, "I'm having the time of my life.." I agree.

I lavished her every whim & we explored beaches, shopped & ate like royalty... dungeness crabs, calamari, salmon, so much seafood... and once we got to Seattle found the best Thai, Ethiopian & Indian restaurants in the world (must be... they were SO awesome and  had great reviews I had found online... my daughter is a very discerning food critic... I aim to please)

We did get crazily lost in Seattle a couple of times... arrgh... traffic sucks! I totally love it there, felt like home (which it was for 17 years) ... and am so thankful I don't have that stress to deal with anymore. The Olympic Peninsula is where I could live. I wish I still owned the 5 acres I had in Gardiner. It's grown like mad.

We spent her birthday in Port Townsend and had a blast~ A remarkably delicious lunch at Fins overlooking the water. We took this pic of us.

And the view from her place is breath-taking. The Olympic mountains were dramatic with snow & clouds drifting around them.

So I hit the ground running upon arriving home. Every day customers have shown up who have been buying multiple products. It's as if they finally grok & appreciate the energy of everything and want more... and more. I think I had the best week ever in terms of total sales both online & in person.... in just 5 days since I've been home. And the toothpowder is up and ready to go with samples already going out with everyone. Hope it's well-liked.. I really love it, salty-bitterness & all.

Clearly, I need to gear up even more to keep up with the demands on some of the best sellers. I do need a helper very soon if things continue this way and of all things, Kathy comes to shop the other day and offers to help me again... RIght as I'm supposed to be helping at the Alpaca Ranch. Do I have time? hmmmmm

Damon spent the first days of his Spring Break in Denver with friends and made it home before the snow flew! Great to see him looking well, buff and with a little mustache. Our plan is to go shop, lunch and see a movie tomorrow in Santa Fe. Hope the snow permits. It will likely melt off as the sun comes out which it's doing right now.

Gearing up to make his cake... It was always intense having both birthdays within 8 days of each other. When they were little we'd have these huge, fun parties, conveniently at once for both!
