So even though it’s exciting, I feel overwhelmed, as well.
I’ve always known Walk in Beauty had a life of its own and it was in it’s infancy stage, destined, ~perhaps~ to grow up and declare itself at the appropriate time. So yesterday I receive a phone call from Michael, a gentleman in Seattle who knows my friend Misha through her Health Spas. I make gallons & gallons of an all chemical-free Seaweed Aloe Gel she uses for her detoxification wraps at the Spas. She told Michael about me… and so the story begins.
Well, this fella is something else… very nice, very intelligent, turned ON to detoxing and living a natural, clean life and is a new zealot (the zeal is most potent in the newly recruited, it seems…) for educating people and offering products to help. So he hears about me and is talking about starting with natural shampoo with his own line of products.
This guy has worked with Dustin Hoffman, Tom Hanks (on what, not sure), for ESPN, has his own production team and marketing company. He had me watch a video he produced
http://www.sharethecause.com/go (He’s in the video with the long hair at about 9 minutes) which was educational and quite professional & good. He implied he could help me launch into quite a bit of business. He was VERY excited about me and what I know and we did click quite remarkably. On the same wavelength in ways…. with him thankful to know there was someone to help him do what he wanted to do! Wow… whew…. Breathe Vicki!
I tell him quite frankly from the beginning that I am not a business person but willing to work with him in the Win Win ways I embrace. He says he’s ready to come out here, meet me and see my operation and I’m like… well, I come to Seattle every year to see friends and do sessions. I’ll meet you sometime soon… If he came here would he just be put off? Or charmed by the simplicity of it all? Hahahaha
I’ll send him a bottle of shampoo and conditioner and the good face Carrot Cucumber Face ScrubMask and a few other things to feel and try… We’ll see….
He’s talking about LOTS of product… So of, course, I start thinking what it means to me to invest in big equipment to bottle and label... and the physical space I’d need to contain this kind of industrial stuff. And the people I’d need to hire… and pay… to do this. So I suggest we could start with a 5 gallon bucket... or… even 55 gallon barrels... Bulk would be more do-able than bottling 1000 bottles myself! He can then bottle and label to his hearts content, a much easier venture in a big city with industry like Seattle than for me to sit here in my little studio with my funnel fro days and days! Ha ha ha!
My little brain is spinning and meanwhile…breathe…. back to me cutting soap and filling bottles… like chopping wood and carrying water.
