Isabel was at work, helping supervise the set up of one of the ballrooms for a company meeting that was kicking off the next morning. Fortunately things were well enough in hand that she could actually take a call instead of letting it go to voicemail.
Recognizing the number, she smiled. "Savannah, hi! Are you back? How did it go?"
It took Isabel a moment or two to process those words, because yeah, not exactly what she was expecting to hear.
"HE DID WHAT????" was probably shouted at the phone a littler louder then it should have been, at least judging by the number of set-up staff that stopped what they were doing to stare at Isabel in curiosity. She held up five fingers to signify she was taking a five minute break then stalked out of the room and into a nearby storeroom.
"Found him this morning." Savannah swallowed, trying to get her voice under control. "Uhm .. let me check ..." She came back after a moment. "I seem to be at the Statue of Liberty."
Of all the stupid things Johnny could have done...Isabel was pissed, but for Savannah's sake, she tried to put it aside and focus on the other girl.
"What do you want to do? I'm taking a guess that you want to get out of New York for a while. Do you want to come here? How about Roswell, Mom would be glad for someone to fuss over for a few days."
"You come here. You go to your mom's or Paige and Lucas. Where ever you want to go," Isabel said quietly. "Take some time and figure out where to go from here."
"As for how, why he did it? He's a hot-headed idiot with more pride then brains apparently."
"I don't ... I don't know if I can ever forgive him for this." Or trust him again. She cleared her throat. "Can I come see you? I can't go to Paige and Lucas like this right now. The case was not as smooth as we expected it to be and the last thing they need right now ..."
Isabel loved Johnny. He'd been a good friend over the years. But this..."I wouldn't blame you if you didn't. So things are unforgivable."
"You're more then welcome here, for as long as you need. Do you want to book a portal? Or should I call Wyatt?" Isabel was not looking forward to that conversation.
"It would be cowardly of me to let you tell Wyatt about this," she said softly.
The thought of being a coward appealed to her, but she couldn't do that to Isabel.
"I'll book a portal and I'll tell you both what... what happened." She sighed. "Maybe you can keep him calm enough?"
She thought of something. "He ... Johnny ... he'll probably call you and Wyatt looking for me. I haven't responded to his texts or calls since ... I just... "
"I'll work on it." Or at least try to channel his energy into more productive pursuits like demon hunting. Although Isabel had a a feeling she was going to have a hard time keeping him from attempting to kick Johnny's ass himself.
"Don't worry about him calling. Depending on the situation I'll either play dumb or let him know exactly what an ass he's been. Either way, he's not coming near you if you don't want to see him."
One of the set-up guys poked his head into the room and motioned that Isabel was needed. Which was not what she wanted to hear at the moment but the job did pay the bills.
"I've got to go. They need me at set-up. Book the portal and let yourself in if I'm not back or Wyatt's not there okay?"

Words, Savannah. They were called words.

They were words that she never thought she'd say when it came to Johnny, but she meant them.
