Savannah almost wished she had classes to go to today.
After
saying goodbye to Johnny last night, she had returned to the room and curled up with Destiny. It hadn't taken too long for her to give into the tears that she had managed -- she thought -- to keep hidden from Johnny. The problem was, everytime she had thought she was out of tears, she would look around the room that felt so empty now and start crying again.
After finally falling into an exhausted sleep at six a.m., she had woken up only a few hours later. Her head made her feel like she had the world's worst hangover, and her eyes were sore and burning. She needed to do something, though. Knowing that she was too emotionally volatile to work on her magic right now, she had set to preparing the room for K-Mart to move in with her.
The first thing she did was push the beds apart to how they had been when she originally moved in here. After the double bed was now two twin beds again, she made up Johnny's bed by the window with her bedding and such. It required pulling and pushing since her side of the bed had always been by the window. That was changing because she wanted to be sleeping on what had been his side of the bed. Since it made sense that K-Mart should have the desk, dresser and closet closest to her new bed, Savannah spent the next hour moving her stuff over into the desk and closet and dresser that Johnny had vacated. This however caused a pause in the cleaning for more tears when she saw the shirts and things he had left for her.
By mid-afternoon, the room looked completely different. There were two beds instead of one and every surface in the room that could shine, did. The picture she had painted of Johnny for the Art Crawl *fist pump* that he wanted her to keep with her was hanging up on the wall between the two beds. One should probably not ask how she had gotten it up so high.
She dropped down onto her bed and Destiny was immediately curled up next to her, licking her hand to give her human some comfort, before curling up with her front paws and head on Savannah's stomach.
They could both agree that goodbyes really sucked.
