Her eyes widened. She looked around to make sure no one was nearby to hear her. Then she cast a small silence spell so no one outside her alcove could hear her.
"Nothing any overprotective family member wouldn't do," Eve assured her. "Told him if he ever hurt you, I'd make him wish I'd only put him in unbearable pain."
And this was Eve without know the whole story of the shirt incident. Which was probably a good thing.
Savannah looked down at her bed, trying to figure out how to tell her mom what had happened without getting Johnny killed.
