Vanishing Goodbyes

What excuse do you give to how our love did slowly fade?
Carelessness was your way of life, and you brought me down with each word you'd say
My eyes find yours, and my cheeks burn from your gaze
My heart was fusible; you would diffuse and bend it every which way

I learned through experience when I was in your arms
My smile matches yours, and together we were insurmountable
I yearned for the weight of your arms for so long, but I soon knew what it meant to forge charm
My eyes revealed sparkle luster, shining my face pink, for this you refused to be held accountable

My bright eyes turned to stone in the penetration of your fraudulent tales
The echoing vision I have of your face, the way it beams and blazes, my mind clearly cannot shake
I try and forget you, but when I see you, I remember all over again why I fail
My heart stood there empty, in the grips of your touch, my weakness was your strength, and the love I gave, you chose to forsake.

No I don't want you, even if I can't have you, so go, goodbye, adieu, and farewell
I can't help but let myself diminish, and fall so deeply under your spell
