Valleys, Mountains and Beaches
Today I was feeling sluggish so Kurt suggested I drive out to Mill Valley in Marin County. I took his advice and had lunch at a lovely little bookstore there - delicious soup and a fantastic sandwich. I got some books to read, walked around town a bit, and when he called to ask if I wanted directions to somewhere else I should go, I said "Sure."
He directed me to drive out to Stinson Beach on the other side of the mountain, and it was beautiful... But the drive there was terrifying. A windy, slick, misty, two lane mountain road that I swear, dropped off into a bottomless abyss just over the side of the road.
The beach was beautiful but it started raining shortly after I got there, so, terrified about driving back, I headed back. Through the rain, back up the windy slick mountain road, I finally made it back into Mill Valley and calmed down. I can handle it. Ugh. I'm getting stronger every day, right?
