FUNKY FRESH!
Warning: if you don't give a crap about my dance competition then don't read on. Went to tremaine (really reall big dance competition) this weekend. It was in the Grand Hyatt in Manhattan ($17 for pancakes!!!). Roomed with Nicole and Kaitlyn, and the other 15 people in the goup where scattered throughout the hotel. The elevators sucked cause half of them ony went up to the 24th floor and we were on the 25th floor, plus they were always full of annoying blonde dancers (ironic i know). Started classes saturday with ballet with george at 8:30 and finished with hip hop with Misha at 3:30 (took jaz with doug and joell somewhere in between). Competition started at 4:30 but we didn't go on until 11:45. Flori did everyone's makeup and it looked awesome. Miss louise was cutting things off of people's shirts and randomn things in the hotel room and making them into hair pieces. My personal favorite is her tacking the flowerss mary's boyfriend had given mary, and saying she didn't need the bow wrapped around them and proceeding to rip it off and tie it in people's hair. Freaked out backstage for about and hour and then got called to go out. Everybody said the performance was amazing, i should have the tape of it soon, there was stripping involved. When award ceremony came around I happened to be closest to Joe Tremaine on stage so i got volunteered to accept our award. FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was so awesome considering we did a hip hop number against really technical jazz numbers. We qualified for nationals in Disney World. After the awards we partyed in miss louise's room till about 2:30 and then went back to our room where we gossiped till about 3:30. Should have taken classes at 9 on sunday but that wasn't happening so we looked at the exhipts, went to starbucks, and listened to the judges tapes (as your performing, the judges sit and speak into a tape recorder which you get to listen to.) They seemed to like it, especially the hip hop teacher who started singing one two step into his mic. Took another hip hop class and then watched the teachers perform. The whole thing was amazing (blonde moments and all kaitlyn.) Can't wait to do it again
