I visited St. Augustine a couple of years ago. It is a fascinating city. I spent a lot of time at the fort and was amazed. I wish I had more time there.

Great entry!

Thanks! It's one of my absolute favorite places to go. No matter how many times I visit, it always has something different to offer.

I especially love taking my animals there to train. Since the school for the deaf and blind is right there, most businesses are very accommodating.

I love St. Augustine. No matter how many times I go back, I always see something different. Also, I'm a people watcher. I love to watch the crowds. The stores are a fun browse and there are still so many museums, shops, and other places I haven't been into.

I highly recommend visiting it. I didn't get to talk about it here because it didn't fit the post, but you can actually walk out to the point where the first Mass was given and the altar is still there. It's a powerful, holy place.

Great entry and just in time for Halloween. That must have been a little spooky when you realized that nothing was there. Hmm, maybe you can sell the story line to "Fringe"...

It was a little startling. I could still hear the music but he couldn't and we could both see there was nothing like that. St. Augustine is like that and it's often spooky in broad daylight.

I liked this a lot! A very well told story in deed. I was right there along with you could hear and smell everything. Thanks for the "trip."

Thanks for coming by! I tend to be total sense oriented and I concentrate on textures, sounds, and smell because I don't see well and I can't always trust what I see. I'm glad it worked.

I need to go spend time there again. SA has the same effect on me that Cassadaga does. A sense of being called home.

I know that feeling. You know we'd be glad to let you stay with us any time. We're a bit more social, but we're cheaper than a hotel :D
