AN: see first chapter Author's Note for story details. This is the last part, for all intents and purposes. There will most likely be an epilogue at some point, but the story is complete as is. I did a lot of rewriting/writing extra parts for this chapter because I wasn't sure about ending it on a happy note. I didn't want this to be a 'happily ever after with rainbows and unicorns' kind of story. After a freakish amount of rearranging, I decided I liked the happy bit I had at the end; Kevin and Scotty deserve to be happy, right? So this story does have a happy ending, I just hope there's enough other stuff to keep it from feeling too saccharine
notes for non-American readers: the GED is the 'general equivalency diploma' which is a qualification equal to a high school diploma.
Rick Santorum is a despicable excuse for a human being former senator from Pennsylvania/current Republican presidential hopeful (albeit one without much hope) who is known on the right for being a staunch social conservative and on the left for his 'Google problem.' Several years ago, when still a senator, he compared homosexual sex to bestiality and pedophilia. Sex columnist/gay rights activist Dan Savage (the 'It Gets Better Project' is his brainchild) called on his readers to redefine Santorum's name as something unpleasant. This definition is the first thing that comes up when one googles 'santorum.' (do it - I dare ya!)
This reference causes a bit of mindfuck with the timeline, but the season five timeline is already screwy, so I figured y'all could handle a suspension of disbelief.
