big pimpin'

For the six of you that haven't seen this yet, the awesome deviant_dev is collecting letters to send to Kripke about the show, a project she's named (appropriately) The Kripke Project.

It's simple, go, fill out the form, write a letter or, if you're shy and/or letter challenged, fill out a survey about your favorite/least favorite episodes. She'll collect them all and send them off.

Dear Mr. Kripke,

Thank you so much for giving birth to the idea that led to Supernatural. Thank you for casting Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Thank you for the amazing script writers, producers, directors, sound editors, special effects people, etc that you have chosen to make this show the incredible show that it is. Thank you for answering more questions than you raise, except for the BIG HUGE IMPORTANT one about the demon's plans, but you can't show all your cards and that's just fine.

I didn't watch Supernatural the first year it aired because I didn't listen to the myriad people telling me it was right up my alley and that I'd love it immensely. Clearly, I am a huge moron. I bought the first season when it came out on DVD, watched it all in a week, then bought a season pass on iTunes to watch the second season, because I don't have cable. This second season is AMAZING, and thanks for that too. I hear so much about each episode before it airs, because I don't get them until the next day and I'm almost quivering with anticipation by the time the download finishes. This second half of the season, each episode I watch I think "that's my favorite episode of anything ever" and it changes each week, because you keep topping yourself. I thought nothing could top my love for Tall Tales, (slow dancing aliens! X-Files totally never thought of that!) and then you got Tricia Helfer to guest star and that was just amazing.

This week's episode was "Heart" and before I thank you for making such a supremely awesome hour of television, I want to berate you for ripping my heart out of my chest and stomping it to little pieces on the ground. But I'm also kind of grateful, so I guess I'll leave it at that. (Again, it's my favorite episode of anything ever and because I'm apparently something of a masochist, I've watched the last scene about 60 times. If you get a chance, tell Jared and Jensen that they're amazing too.)

I know saying thank you to you for all these things is a little like thanking a seed for a forest, you don't do everything and I know there are plenty of people responsible for making this show the best show about anything ever, but you started it all. And you're amazing. And I think I can safely say both of those things.

Also, I have a playlist on my ipod called 'first, they're cassette tapes' (sixty-six songs and thanks to my OCD they're all in episode order) and I've downloaded Ozzy, Queensryche, Foreigner, Styx, Kansas, Bad Company, etc and I only have you to blame. Shame on you for exposing me to mullet rock. (And, also, thank you.)

Sorry for the heinous parenthetical abuse.

With great affection (and gratitude!),
Merrin

Whee! Go play! It's fun! :)

MOOD ICON: Oh Padalecki. You are so adorable.
