Spent most of yesterday feeling like a freaking elephant was sitting on my chest. I don't have asthma attacks that often, and for some reason did not put two and two together for a while. I spent most of last night sucking down my inhaler and putting lavender and peppermint oil on my chest. (Recommended by my chi kung friend.)
Anyway, some time around midnight it moved from chest to up in my throat, which my dad says probably means it wasn't so much asthma related (though it did give me asthma symptoms) as some kind of pulmonary virus, which should go away on its own. In the mean time, I can't speak. At all. I can whisper, sometimes I can rasp, but mostly I can't really make any sound at all.
It doesn't hurt, I don't feel sick, I just can't speak. So I guess it could be worse. I've spent part of the day reading the really crappy newest addition to the Lords of the Underworld series by Gena Showalter. (Really crappy because, HELLO, she's mixing God and the angels in with her Greek mythology, and those kind of shenanigans make me crazy cakes. YOU GET TO PICK ONE. IF ONE IS TRUE, THEY CANNOT ALL BE TRUE. THAT IS NOT HOW IT WORKS.) And some cleaning. I cleaned the kitchen and my bathroom, and that's about all I could handle. I wanted to try and find someone to hang out with me, but everyone is busy. Sigh.
