Hi, it's me. I only ever post after midnight anymore, idk why.
BUT. SO. I have caught up on Vampire Diaries (which I just tried to type dairies... hahaha) and. Well. SEE. Mostly when I watch it I'm reminded of how very much I need to reread the books, because the show is really not at all like I remember the books being, and I'm having trouble deciding if I'm all right with that. Like
I'm pretty sure in the books Damon didn't actually kill people. Mess with their minds, torture them a bit, and generally treat them like play things, but kill? I'm pretty sure it was all Katherine with the killing. And if he's actually killed Vickie? (Who I really, really would not mind seeing dead, I really wouldn't.) That's going to be slightly.... annoying. If only because if he's actually killing high school kids, I'm going to have trouble buying his redemption later. If that is, in fact, the way they're going to go with this.
ALSO OMG I can't wait until Elena finds out that Stefan's a vampire. It is going to be epic.
I wasn't sure how I was going to like this casting, but Ian Somerhalder as Damon is EPIC. The Bella/Edward bit? ALSO EPIC.
I've been watching Stargate: Universe. Or Stargate: Imposter. Or Stargate: Too Hip To Function. I like some of the changes they've implemented, mostly the way they're filming it. I was getting kind of tired of the static way they did the other two, and also their insistence on getting as many of the team in one shot as possible, leading to many an awkward positioning for all involved. I keep expecting them to stumble across a conference room with a giant table and some rolling chairs so they can set up shop and debrief every day. We (the roommie and I) like Eli, but we're pretty unsure of everyone else. And that second episode was BORING. So very boring that we fast forwarded through a LOT of stumbling around in the sand. Mostly I desperately miss Rodney. Still withholding judgment.
Still have not caught up on Supernatural, and I think I'm going to stop DVRing Grey's again, because I don't actually care. Blah. It's a good thing there are books, because TV is not exciting right now.
Also, MY MOMMY AND DADDY ARE COMING TOMORROW!!!! WHOOOT!!!! They're bringing me some dressers from my granny's house, so I will have more space in which to put things up, which is just never a bad thing. Plus I get to see MY MOMMY AND DADDY.
PEA. ESS. ALSO. Reason #234902854904 I love my job:
Me: Ugh, my pen died. *throws away*
My assistant manager: You should break its head off so it won't rise again.
