I'm sitting here in my coffee shop minding my own business and downloading slash onto the port of sin when freaking "Lean on Me" starts playing. I don't think I've ever, in my entire life, heard this song in a restaurant or on the radio. I've always listened to it on my California Raisins tape.
I'm feeling very 12 years old right now, sitting in the back of my dad's suburban while I hide the fact that I'm holding hands with the really cute boy sitting next to me. Or I'm 7, in a different suburban, on the back roads of Virginia, on my way to visit my grandparents. Or I'm 23 and watching NSync sing it with Tim McGraw on the stage at Turks-Caicos.
